Gudrun Gylling
Gudrun Gylling learned T’ai Chi with Pytt Geddes in the early seventies while studying Contemporary Dance in London. Since then Tai Chi and Qi Gong have been her main occupation, teaching fifteen to twenty groups a week – along with Acupressure treatments and dance performances. Each spring she brings T’ai Chi to Gothenburg’s Botanical Garden at six o’clock in the morning, as they do in China. Her fascination with the Five Elements led to her dance piece The Chinese Garden which she has performed in many European countries, and she has also used the needle to express the elements in embroidery. She loves teaching in partnership with Catherine Robinson.
Catherine and Gudrun are both well-known for developing an appreciation of the T’ai Chi through short courses and workshops in their respective countries. Since 1995 they have also worked together to present and lead a series of international T’ai Chi workshops and courses, including residential T’ai Chi Holidays in England, Scotland, Sweden and France.
