 This
year's T'ai Chi Summer Holiday was based at Scargill
House in Kettlewell, a little village in the Yorkshire
Dales. There were forty participants who gathered
from many parts of England and Scotland, Sweden
and the Canary Islands.
Unusually for the Dales (but not unusually for the
T'ai Chi Holiday) we had five consecutive days of
beautiful sunny weather and we were able to work
outside every day.
In
addition to a lot of T'ai Chi practice, we offered
the options of singing sessions with Ali Burns,
and drawing sessions with Simon Rickard. The tightly-packed
timetable made it difficult to do everything,
but a few people gave it a good try!

Drawing for people who think they can't draw
The
theme of the 2007 T'ai Chi Summer Holiday was creativity,
symbolised in the T'ai Chi by The Golden Needle. One
of the options on offer was a series of drawing sessions
for people who think they can't draw. Over five days
we produced around 300 drawings - everyone who took
part was surprised at the quality and variety of the
results.
