T'ai Chi Summer Holiday 2009

2009's T'ai Chi Summer Holiday was based at a residential retreat in Somerset, Southwest England. Our base for the week was the Earth Spirit Centre, in the village of Compton Dundon, near the town of Glastonbury (see map). The area (the mythical Isle of Avalon) is well known from the myths and legends of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

The Earth Spirit Centre was once a dairy farm, abandoned during World War II. About 20 years ago it was bought by its present owners, and gradually renovated and converted into a residential study centre. The course began on Monday 3rd August 2009 and ended on Saturday 8th August 2009.

The course was led by Catherine Robinson and Gudrun Gylling, and included daily sessions practising the Yang Long Form, as well as detailed instruction, QiGong, and singing opportunities.
